You Haunt Me – Sir Sly

28 Jul

We finally have an album release date of September 16th for my favorite band and obsession for over a year, Sir Sly.  I’ve been following these guys since I first came across “Where I’m Going” last spring and my love for them only grows each time I see them live.  From their show at Holy Mountain last November to the multiple SXSW sets I was able to catch this year, I’m continually amazed by their talent.  The release date of their debut album You Haunt Me is bolded and highlighted on my calendar, along with August 27th when they will be making their way back to Austin for a show at The Parish.  You can check out their newest single “You Haunt Me” off the upcoming album below.

Where I’m Going – Sir Sly

Over the past week I’ve decided to do some spring cleaning of my playlists, out with the old and in with the new.  One of the newest additions and my current obsession is this track from a band called Sir Sly.  When I first heard it I was certain it was a song off the The Neighbourhood’s new album, but upon further research I discovered it’s an LA based trio who recorded, mixed and mastered their songs themselves in a home studio.  They’ve already made their way up to #6 on Hype Machine with their track “Found You Out” and if they continue to put out songs this good I imagine they’ll be making their way up many more charts in no time.
